Poetry & artwork by kids for kids

The competition

The Eurochild project demonstrates a more global approach to language use, encouraging non-verbal forms alongside the written and spoken word. With this principle in mind, Eurochild invites artwork submissions for its annual Competition from children and young teens from anywhere in the world, on whatever subject they like.

The cover

As an added challenge, our Eurochild artists are also competing for the chance to see their work on the front cover of the annual Anthology.

The artwork for the cover of this year’s Eurochild Anthology was created by Noèmi Kiss from Igazgyöngy Alapfokú Müveszetoktatási Intézmény (Berettyóújfalu, Hungary). Our thanks and congratulations to her!

Eurochild and art

Eurochild represents an expressive community that can often be left voiceless: children; marginal or minority-speaker groups; disadvantaged communities; the disabled; victims of violence and a violent world. The most important objective of the project is to give children the confidence to express themselves and take their place among the speakers of the world. That goal may be pursued through verbal language or art, drama, music or the new technologies.
